Christianity Explored is an informal 7-week course for people who'd like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. Looking at Mark's gospel, it explores who Jesus is, why he came, and what it means to follow him.
You won't be asked to pray, sing or read aloud, and you can ask any questions you like. Or, if you prefer, you can just come along and listen. Christianity Explored has been around for over a decade now, and it's been designed to suit different age ranges and people. Everyone is welcome - from the most sympathetic Sunday schooler to the convinced atheist.
At Abington Avenue we have been doing the Alpha Course for quite a few years now. It has been very successful in bringing people into the church and helping people to grow in their faith. It is now felt that we would like to try the course called Christianity Explored.
It will start on Thursday 8th September at 7pm with Supper, finishing at 9pm and runs for just 7 weeks, with one Saturday near the end of the course. So it isn’t too long a time to commit to.
If you want to know more contact the church office on Tel: 01604 604623.
