Alpha & Prayer Groups

The Alpha Course consists of ten weekly meetings and a weekend.

Each meeting starts with a meal and then a period of worship followed by teaching and discussion sessions. It is equally suitable for those who are enquiring about the Christian faith and those who want to refresh their knowledge.

In September we will be starting a new Alpha Course at Abington Avenue URC

It will start on Wednesday 22nd September at 7.15pm with a meal

The first week will be “Christianity” Boring? Irrelevant? Untrue?

There will then be an opportunity for you to sign up for the course which will start the following Wednesday 29th September at 7.15pm

If you have never tried an Alpha Course, this is your chance. Whether you are

wanting to know more about the Christian faith, a new Christian or have been a Christian for a long time, Alpha is a very relaxed friendly way to learn more.

Prayer Groups

On the second and fourth Sunday each month prayers for healing are held in the chapel between 10am and 10.30am.

The prayer chain is able to respond quickly to prayer needs. Please contact the minister for details.

Concerns for prayer may be written in the book in the chapel.

All those who work on the premises are invited to share in a time of prayer together at Staff Prayers.

A prayer breakfast is held on the second Saturday of each month to pray for the life and mission of the church.
