Regarding our experience of the Sanctuary Services at Abington Avenue, Paul and I have been worshipping for the last 4 years, and have now become members, but I attended many years as a child at Sunday School.
We enjoy the peace and tranquillity of a more formal service, with our minister Jane Wade on her sabbatical, this has given us other experiences of visiting ministers, the elders and the wonderful music group services have given spiritual inspiration and heightened our faith. One such service led by Judith Pettitt, she featured a book called Wonder, which we found amazing and have now bought a copy and passed on to friends and students. Many of the services are inspirational, the elders and members are always on hand if you need to speak to them. Traditional hymns are used and bible readings always give a focus point to take away and reflect upon. There is also a CD available for the service if you are unable to attend. There is a wonderful feeling in the church congregation that reflects the Christian spirit that is AAURC.
